Kathy
Palmer
May 16, 1960 — Feb 4, 2026
Tulsa
Kathryn Jo "Kathy" Palmer entered her heavenly home on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at the age of 65. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service of Sand Springs.
Kathy was born on May 16, 1960, in Wagoner, Oklahoma, to RC Wesley Wilson and Laura Edith (Metcalf) Wilson. She grew up in Berryhill, where she graduated from Berryhill High School in 1978 and proudly played softball. Those early years shaped her steady nature, strong work ethic, and lifelong loyalty to family and friends.
Kathy married Matthew Palmer, and together they shared a little over 20 years of marriage. During that time, Kathy worked tirelessly, supporting her husband through college while also raising their children. She worked for Tulsa County for several years and spent most of her career as a financial clerk for large companies. Her work eventually took her to Texas, where she continued to build an independent, meaningful life—raising her children, purchasing her own home and land, and creating a space filled with warmth and love.
Kathy was incredibly creative and talented with her hands. She was truly crafty and could make just about anything. She made jewelry, sewed, hand-wove baskets and dyed them herself, crocheted, did needlepoint, and created beautiful embroidery. Even in recent days, she was working on making card holders for her friends at the nursing home—a reflection of her thoughtful and giving heart.
Above all, Kathy was known for who she was to the people who loved her. She was steady, dependable, and always present. You could tell her anything, and she would listen without judgment, offering comfort and quiet wisdom. She had a wonderful sense of humor, a sharp and intelligent mind, and an unmatched ability to think through problems until she found a solution. Kathy was kind, generous, caring, and endlessly thoughtful—someone who made others feel safe, heard, and loved.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Kathy is survived by her children: Joseph Palmer, Wesley Palmer, William Palmer, and Rebecca Palmer and fiancé, Anthony Tuttle; her grandchildren: Peyton Palmer, Gage Palmer, Silas Cook, George Cook, Hunter Cook, and Preston Tuttle; her sister, Cyndy Rogers and husband, Mike; and her brother, Ricky Wilson.
Kathy's legacy lives on through her family, her creativity, and the countless lives she touched with her kindness, humor, and unwavering presence. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
