Keith Everett Morrison peacefully departed this life on August 22, 2023, at the age of 89, with his family by his side. Keith was born January 10, 1934, in McDonald, Kansas to Gail Clifton Morrison and Esda Teresa (McCurdy) Morrison. He attended school in Eureka, Kansas and graduated from Eureka High School. Keith's high school teacher, Mr. Anderson, noticed Keith liked to tinker with mechanical things and introduced him to electronics, which set Keith on the path for the rest of his life. After graduating high school, Keith attended Central Technical Institute in Kansas City following his teacher's recommendation to pursue a career in the television industry.  Keith's career in the television industry began in 1955 at WIBW-TV in Topeka, Kansas where he operated behind the camera, controlling on-air switching and loading films. Upon traveling to Tulsa in 1957 to visit a beautiful young lady he had met through his good friend, Kimble, Keith met the chief engineer for KVOO, Jack Bushnell. Within a few months KVOO hired Keith as a transmitter engineer. That was the beginning of a 43-year career with the NBC station, now known as KJRH. Keith eventually became transmitter supervisor and later became assistant chief engineer. Throughout his years with KJRH, Keith experienced many memorable moments such as in 1959 when the station first switched from black and white to color, watching technology change allowing for remote control of the transmitters in the late 1960s, helping to install KJRH's 1850-foot tower and transmitter in the 1980s, and later experiencing the introduction of stereo sound. In addition to his job with the news station, Keith established a successful TV repair business in the Sand Springs community. Keith married that beautiful young lady that originally brought him to Tulsa, Patsy Sue Stokes, on August 24,1957 at the Sand Springs Church of God. They gave birth to their first-born son, David, on their anniversary in 1959. Their family was complete nine years later with the birth of their second son, Brian. Keith says that Patti was the best part of him. They were best friends. They enjoyed many travels and adventures together over the years. Keith is preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 65 years, Patsy (Patti), who recently stepped into her heavenly home on March 4, 2023. Survivors include his sons: David Morrison and wife, Kimberley, and Brian Morrison all of Sand Springs; grandchildren: Ri Morrison of Salt Lake City, UT, Collin Morrison of West Point, NY, Blaine Morrison of Tulsa, Grant Morrison of Tulsa; and brother: Larry Morrison of Jackson, Mississippi.  A service celebrating Keith's life will be held at 10 AM Saturday, August 26th, at the Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Home Chapel with his daughter-in-law, Kimberley Morrison, officiating. Keith will be laid to rest at Woodland Memorial Park. Visitation will be Friday 12-8 PM, with family greeting friends from 5-7 PM.  Leave your memories of Keith and view his tribute online at www.mogro.co.
