Skiatook, OK - Kenneth Ray Cowen, age 84, peacefully passed away on Sunday, December 3rd, 2023, at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He is survived by his devoted wife of 66 years, Freda J Cowen; two loving sons, Mike Cowen and Rusty Cowen; his cherished daughter, Michelle Perdue; as well as four grandchildren - Shawna Watts, Dustin Perdue, Taylor Storts, and Carsidy Myers; and three great-grandchildren - Owen Richardson, Ellie, and Dani Storts. Kenneth also leaves behind a circle of close friends. He was preceded in death by Renee and Michael Cowen.

Born in Haskell on June 3, 1939, Kenneth spent his early years in Porter, OK, where his basketball prowess earned him lasting recognition with trophies displayed in the Porter gymnasium. Completing his high school education in Sand Springs, he commenced a dedicated career at the cotton mill. Following his marriage to Freda, Kenneth joined Tulsa Auto Spring, where his commitment spanned over 50 years, marked by an impressive record of never missing a single workday.

Kenneth's life was enriched by his passion for horses and coon hounds. During daylight hours, he enjoyed breaking horses and roping, while his evenings were often spent hunting coons. An ardent lover of the outdoors, Kenneth reveled in hunting and fishing. However, his true joy lay in his family; he delighted in witnessing his grandchildren unwrap Christmas and birthday gifts. Known for his warm and welcoming demeanor, Kenneth never met a stranger. Always ready to extend a helping hand, he will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
