Kenneth Lamar
Gaylor
Oct 28, 1944 — Feb 28, 2025
Sand Springs
Kenneth "Kenny" Lamar Gaylor was born in a cotton mill house in Crichton, Alabama, to parents Vera Gaylor Shedd and Willie Virgil Gaylor. In junior high, he moved with his family from Alabama to Sand Springs, Oklahoma. He graduated from Charles Page High School with the Class of 1963. He then joined the United States Army, serving in the Vietnam War. Kenny married Linda Gayle Sims on December 19, 1969, in Sand Springs. They settled in Sand Springs, where Kenny worked at the steel mill for over 30 years before retiring. After retiring, Kenny devoted much of his time to caring for his grandchildren. He enjoyed collecting antiques, browsing garage sales, golfing, fishing, hunting, casino visits, and, above all, time with his family. Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, Vera and Willie, and his beloved wife, Linda Gayle. He is survived by his two sons, Kenneth J. Gaylor of Oklahoma and Daniel R. Gaylor (wife Jennifer) of Sand Springs; three grandchildren, Lesley Iron-Stafford (husband Garrett) of Tulsa, Karlee Thompson (husband Tucker) of Bristow, and Kyler Gaylor of Tulsa; and three great-grandchildren, Oliver and Daisy Stafford and Adlee Thompson.
