Kenneth L.
Heffley
Oct 21, 1940 — Mar 23, 2023
Sapulpa
Kenneth "Ken" Heffley, AKA "Poppy", went to his heavenly home on Thursday, March 23, 2023, at his home at the age of 82. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service.
A Celebration of Ken's Life will be held at a later date.
Ken was born on October 21, 1940, to Jewel (Johnson) Pfeifer in Seminole, Oklahoma. He graduated from Okmulgee High School, and continued his education in the printing program at Okmulgee Tech. On February 10, 1962, Ken married the love of his life, Donna Kaye Wallace in Okmulgee.
Ken was a hard worker and held 2-3 jobs at a time before starting his own printing business, Green Country Printing in 1976 in Sand Springs. With Donna by his side and many family members they ran the business until Ken's retirement in 1997.
Ken and Donna stayed active playing tennis when the girls were younger. They loved being outdoors fishing. At one point in his life, Ken became a proud motorcycle owner. He enjoyed many rides with his daughter and friends. As their daughters were growing up, Ken and Donna's home was open to all their children's friends. They coached their girls ball teams, and loved being with their family and friends. Ken was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother; and a generous friend and cheerful giver to everyone. At any moment, Ken would give the shirt off his back and there have been times that he did. Ken was a fixer. There wasn't anything that he couldn't figure out, rig up, or that duct tape and zip ties couldn't fix. Let's just say that Harbor Freight quickly became his hang out and where he found his social gatherings. His best friend and dog, Scooter Heffley, was his sidekick and by his side at the time of death.
Ken is preceded in death by his mother.
Survivors include his wife, Donna of the home; daughters: Debbie Driskell and husband, Ray of Beggs, and LeAnn Heffley of Sand Springs; sister, Stanna Lee Chinn and husband, Ted of California; grandchildren: Nikki Rottmayer and husband, Geoff, Hunter Cole and wife, Madisen, Kenlee Wolfenberger and husband, Luke, Abbie Hightower and husband, Treven, and Brier McAfee; great-grandchildren: Aniston Rottmayer, Brighton Cole, Wyson Cole, Charlie Cole, Lakelyn Cole, Hagan Wolfenberger, Lawson Wolfenberger, Rusten Hightower, and Jemma Hightower; and best friend, Scooter Heffley.
