Kenneth Dale Janeway, 58, departed this life on Sunday, November 17, 2024, in Titusville, Florida. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service of Sand Springs.

A memorial service to celebrate Kenny's life will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, November 23, at the Jim Groesbeck Memorial Chapel.

Kenny was born on May 24, 1966, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Kenneth Janeway and Janice Darlene (Robbins) Janeway. He grew up in Sand Springs and graduated from Charles Page High School in 1984, where he was a member of the golf team and National Honor Society. It was there he met his future wife, Tonya Janeway and the two were married on January 10, 1987, at Mission Christian Church in Sand Springs. Together, they raised their children-Dalton, Jalin, and Nathan-in the same tight-knit community.

Kenny was a man of diverse passions and pursuits. He shared a love for sprint car racing with his children, competing nationally, and was an enthusiastic supporter of their sporting events, even coaching youth softball and t-ball teams. An avid fisherman and occasional hunter, he loved traveling and seeing new places, especially if there were plenty of sunny days. Kenny also loved his cars, and the thrill of racing.

A devoted business owner and entrepreneur, Kenny founded and operated Janeway Machine, Inc., an aerospace manufacturing company in Sapulpa, for 35 years. Being able to benefit the community with employment opportunities he provided to so many, leaving a lasting impact on the lives of his employees.

Kenny will be remembered for his big, giving heart, his passion for life, his ornery sense of humor, and his unwavering determination.

Kenny is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his children and their mother: Tonya Janeway, Dalton Janeway, Jalin Janeway, and Nathan Janeway; grandchildren: Quincey Janeway and Scarlett Janeway; sisters: Kelly Roberts and husband, Gary, and Kim Smith and husband, Jerald; and nieces and nephews: Jennah Smith, Paige Smith, Chase Smith, Gunner Roberts, and Gage Roberts.
