Kenneth C. Mixon, 86, of Tulsa passed away at his home, with his family at his bedside, on Tuesday, January 25, 2022.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service, Sand Springs.

Kenneth was born on January 12, 1936 in Sand Springs, OK to Albon Roy and Nina Jewell (Martin) Mixon.  He attended college in Kansas, served in the US Air Force, worked at DX Refinery, then retired in 1997 after spending 30 years at American Airlines.  He married the love of his life, Jessie Louise Yates on November 25, 1965 in Sand Springs. Kenneth and Jessie were members of Victory Church, Tulsa and were previously members of First Assembly of God, Sand Springs.  He was a pilot who enjoyed anything to do with flying.  He loved God, his wife Jessie, family, fishing and church. He enjoyed watching his grandson Jordan grow up and his new great grandson Bo.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Jessie; his son, Stephen and wife Angela Mixon, grandson, Jordan and wife Destiny Mixon; great grandson, Bo Mixon; sister-in-law, JoAnn Mixon; other relatives and friends.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Albon Roy and Nina Jewell Mixon and a brother, Col. Earl Mixon.

Private graveside services will be held at Woodland Memorial Park, Sand Springs.
