Kolleen Kay Korthals departed this life on Monday, April 11, 2022, at the age of 77. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service of Sand Springs.

A Celebration of Kolleen's Life will be 3 p.m., Saturday, April 30, at Jonie's Home, 9970 N. Yale Ave., Sperry, OK 74073.

The daughter of Walter Herman Korthals and Lottie Ellen (Bowling) Korthals was born August 7, 1944, in Pryor. Kolleen graduated from Chouteau High School and began her career in banking. Working at several area banks, including F&M Bank, Kolleen worked in every aspect of the bank from window teller to trust services and gold currency. She retired after working in the Social Services Department for Tulsa County.

Kolleen cherished her time spent cruising and traveling to foreign countries. When she wasn't traveling, she could be found caring for her garden, or driving her red convertible sports car. Kolleen was fun and bold. She was a great friend that had a huge heart and was loved by everyone.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Charlotte Edmondson.

Survivors include her lifelong companion, Jonie Firestone; brother, Herman "Clay" Korthals; niece, Kimberly Henry and husband, Randy; great-niece, Lauren Henry; and she was blessed to have numerous cousins, friends, and extended family in her life.
