Helen "Lanette" Horn departed this life on Sunday, August 27, 2023, at OSU Medical Center, Tulsa, at the age of 66. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service of Sand Springs.

Lanette was born December 10, 1956, in Tulsa to Clyde Daniel Horn and Helen Maxine (Campbell) Horn. Lanette was raised in Sand Springs, graduating from Charles Page High School in 1975. She went to work for Tom Gilbert Insurance from 1975-81. After the birth of her first child, P.J., she stayed at home to care for her family. She was a skilled seamstress, making many of her children's clothes.

In 1991, Lanette began her career with Tulsa Public Schools as an administrative assistant. In December 2021, she retired after 30 years of service. She enjoyed spending her time reading, working crosswords, coloring, and visiting with her many dear friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Linda Carol Hilligoss.

Survivors include her children: P.J. Smith and wife, Angie of Naples, FL, and Leslee Danielle Kerschen and husband, Eddie of Broken Arrow; grandchildren: Clara Malin Kerschen and Meri Elyse Kerschen; and best friend, Terry Lynn James of Midwest City.
