Larry Leon Clinkenbeard, 77, Sand Springs, Oklahoma, passed from this life Wednesday, January 26, 2022. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service of Sand Springs, Oklahoma.

Visitation for Larry will be Sunday, January 30, 2022, from 1pm until 6pm, at the Funeral Home. The family will greet friends from 1PM until 3pm. A Memorial service for Larry will be Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at 10am in the Olivet Baptist Church, Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Larry was born in Depew, Oklahoma, on July 24, 1944, to Virgil J. Clinkenbeard and Wanda Mae (Thompson) Clinkenbeard. By trade, Larry was a welder for TK International. He was married to Roberta Howerton on January 13, 1979, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They were able to enjoy more than 43 years of marriage together prior to his death. Larry liked and talked politics. That's all we are going to say about that. He also enjoyed working in the yard and around the house. Of course, this was after he had his coffee. Larry loved coffee. Other hobbies included motorcycling, riding his golf cart, garage sales, and estate sales. Larry loved his family and the time he was able to spend with them was priceless. He was an active member of Olivet Baptist Church. Larry's big smile and political comments will be missed by both friends and family.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents Virgil and Wanda Clinkenbeard.

He is survived by his loving wife Roberta; daughters Rhonda Hammons and husband Frankie and Tonya Francisco; son Robert Applegate and wife Carmen; grandchildren Shane Lovins and wife Amanda, Rowdy Lovins and wife Stephanie, Stormee Shaffer and husband Nathan, Casey Arms and husband Andrew, Emma Applegate, and Will Applegate; 9 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; many other relatives and a host of friends.
