Linda Joy
Gasperich
Jun 18, 1948 — Jun 25, 2024
Sand Springs
Linda Joy Gasperich entered her heavenly home on Tuesday evening, June 25, 2024, at Oklahoma Memory Care in Tulsa, at the age of 76.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held from 2-4 p.m., Saturday, June 29, at the Jim Groesbeck Memorial Chapel at Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service.
Linda was born on June 18, 1948, in Tulsa to Walter Charles Bell and Eunice Nadine (Weeks) Bell. She graduated from Charles Page High School in 1966 and remained an active member of the Class of 1966 alumni association throughout her life.
While working at Thurston Insurance Company in downtown Tulsa, a co-worker introduced Linda to William Bryan "Bill" Gasperich. This blind date blossomed into a beautiful relationship, and they were married on February 21, 1970, at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Linda also worked at Anderson Elementary School for several years and helped her husband at Lawrence's Pharmacy whenever needed until they sold the business in the mid-1990s.
Linda was an avid crafter, a devoted caregiver, and a passionate photographer who captured every moment. She found immense joy in motherhood and was a regular attendee at Osage Hills Christian Church. Linda was a loving, caring, compassionate, and kind woman. She was known for her unwavering faith and was the glue that held her family together.
A strong advocate for adoption, Linda was a regular speaker for the Gladney Center for Adoption, encouraging others to consider adoption, a cause dear to her heart as she herself was an adoptive mother.
Linda is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bill, who passed away on February 11, 2004; her parents; and her brothers, Cliff and Kevin Bell. She is survived by her children, Matt Gasperich and his wife, Jennifer of Bixby, and Megan Joy Lovins and her wife, Jennifer of Sand Springs; her cherished grandchildren, Aidan and Isla; her adored grandpups, Simon and Tobias, her grandcat, Max; and her sister, Peggy Griggs and her husband, Jerry of Tulsa.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Gladney Center for Adoption, 6300 John Ryan Drive Fort Worth, Texas 76132, or online at www.iamgladney.org. Linda's legacy of love, faith, and family will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
