Linnie Shirlene Henley age 76, of Sand Springs, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2026, surrounded by the love of the family and friends she cherished so deeply.

Born on December 2, 1949, Shirlene lived a full and vibrant life marked by love, laughter, strength, and devotion to those around her. She was strong, funny, stubborn in the best ways, generous to a fault, and truly the life of the party. If there was somewhere to go, someone to celebrate, or family to cheer on, Shirlene was there—always dressed in style, ready to make memories.

For 55 wonderful years, she shared a deep and loving marriage with her devoted husband, Jerry Thomas Henley. Their love was the foundation of their family, and those who knew them often smiled at the way they loved each other.

Shirlene was a proud and loving mother to her daughters, Michelle Lytle and Dustee Dobbs, son in law Billy Dobbs and a deeply devoted grandmother to Kody Ontiveros, Kortnee Ontiveros, and Jonathan Halford. Her love continued through her great-grandchildren, Leyla Switzer, Kodee Raye, Remington and Colt Halford, each of whom brought tremendous joy to her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, all five of her brothers, her beloved grandson Kody Ontiveros, her precious great-grandson Barrett Halford and good friend Kathy Smith.

Shirlene loved fiercely and lived fully. She never missed an opportunity to support her family—whether attending ballgames, school programs, or proudly cheering on her grandson Jonathan at his race car events. Her family was the center of her world. She had a whistle that was out of this world. People would comment how loud it was.

She found joy in life's simple and meaningful pleasures: fishing off her boat dock, especially for crappie—her favorite catch—and preparing her famous homemade crappie dip, a treasured family tradition requested at every holiday gathering. She made sure her grandchildren each had their own special serving to take home, a small gesture that perfectly reflected her generous heart.

Shirlene was a lifelong fan of Elvis Presley, loved Bunco nights with friends, treasured her Wednesday poker games with her beloved sister Melva, and never passed up an invitation to gather with those she loved. She enjoyed shopping for clothes and shoes and had closets full of the latest fashions, always carrying herself with confidence and flair. She loved attending the local fair. She had to see and touch everything there and would attend it everyday if she could.

As a talented cosmetologist, Linnie loved making people feel beautiful—though she was known to give you the haircut she thought looked best. She also devoted herself to being a stay-at-home mother while raising her daughters, creating a loving home filled with care, strength, and laughter.

Above all else, Shirlene was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Her presence was larger than life, her love was unwavering, and her memory will live on in the countless lives she touched.  We are grateful she is with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
