Lois Blen Menees entered her heavenly home on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at the age of 95. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service of Sand Springs. Private family services will be held.

Lois was born on September 3, 1929, in Numa, Oklahoma, to Elvie Roscoe Grantz and Blen Dosia (Skaggs) Grantz. She grew up on the family farm, which was established on land received during the Oklahoma Land Run. She rode a horse to school each day. While attending Deer Creek High School, Lois played basketball and was introduced by her high school basketball coach, C.L., to Henry D. Menees, who was home on leave from the Army Air Corps. At the age of 17, she married Henry, beginning a lifelong partnership.

Lois and Henry lived in California and Kansas City while Henry pursued his education to become an electrician. They later settled in Tulsa, where Henry worked for the U.S. Postal Service, and they remained in their beloved home for 70 years. Lois dedicated her career to Western Union, where she specialized in computer training.

Henry and Lois enjoyed spending time with her sister, Elva, and her husband. They had lunch together every day, attended church together, and enjoyed pizza together every Sunday.

A woman of faith, Lois was a longtime member of Broadway Baptist Church and was actively involved with the Order of the Eastern Star. She had a passion for crafts, particularly jewelry making and T-shirt painting. Her love for decorating, gardening, shopping, and fashion was evident in her impeccable style—always dressed to perfection with every detail matching, down to her shoes. Lois was nothing short of fabulous—a true fashion icon.

Her personality was as vibrant as her wardrobe. Feisty and strong, she was also well-spoken, outgoing, and deeply caring. Her sweet nature and radiant smile left a lasting impression on all who knew her. She found joy in giving gifts, often delighting others with chocolates.

Lois was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Henry; her parents; and her siblings: Luther Grantz, Ray Grantz, Lola Clay, and Elva "Maude" Menees.

She is survived by her twin children, Keith Menees of Edmond and Kathy Sibley and husband Robert of Tulsa; her cherished grandchildren, Lindsay Kerr and Nathan Kerr and wife Aubrey; and her adored great-grandchildren, Chance Todd, Isabella Kerr, and Meghan McHenry.

Lois lived a life filled with love, family, faith, and elegance. Her legacy of warmth and grace will continue to inspire all who knew her.
