Mark
Jones
d. Dec 20, 2025
Sand Springs
Mark Lee Jones of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to MaryLou (Kindley) and Chester Jones. He passed away on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at the age of 61.
Mark was raised in Tulsa, where he spent most of his life and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School. He was a true hands-on soul who found joy and pride in working on cars and motorcycles—always tinkering, fixing, and improving. Mark also had a special place in his heart for dogs and was rarely without a loyal four-legged companion by his side. His faithful dog, Hope, was truly his girl and constant comfort.
Family meant everything to Mark. He shared a close bond with those he loved, often blurring the lines between titles and relationships through the depth of his care. He is survived by his nephew, raised like a brother, Larry K. Cantrell, along with Larry's wife, Hollie, and their son, Noah; his cousin, raised like a sister, Paula Kasishke; his son, Marcus Sellers and wife Shelby; his daughter, Sarah Sellers; and his cherished grandchildren: Emily, Landen, Kailey, Marcus Jr., Shayla, Raghan, and Levi.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents, MaryLou Kindley and Chester Jones; his brother, Larry M. Cantrell; and his grandmother, Stella Kindley Borders.
Mark will be remembered for his generous heart, his love of family, and his simple joys—engines rumbling, the open road, and the steady companionship of a good dog. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
