Marna Elaine (Wallace) Steelman went to Heaven to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, March 21, 2022, at the age of 73. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service of Sand Springs.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Friday, March 25, at the Mobley-Groesbeck Chapel with Rev. Fred Waldrep officiating. Marna will be laid to rest at Woodland Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home 12-8 p.m., Thursday, and the family will greet friends 5-7 p.m.

The daughter of Lester Linley Wallace and Dovie Lorrene (Crow) Wallace was born March 17, 1949, at Hillcrest Hospital in Tulsa. Marna lived her entire life in the Lake Station area. She started school at Lake Elementary, went on to Central Junior High School, and graduated from Charles Page High School in 1967. Marna studied cosmetology and became a licensed beautician. At the age of 14, Marna started dating, Charles Raymond "Coke" Steelman. She married the love of her life on May 28, 1966, at the Oakhurst Assembly of God. They were blessed with three sons: Chuck, Steve, and David.

Marna worked nights as a Custodial Supervisor for Cleaning Tulsa, while she raised her children. She later went to work in maintenance for South Tulsa Baptist Church. When Sand Springs Wal-Mart opened, she was among the initial hires. She worked there until her retirement this last summer.

She was active in her sons' school PTA, as well as her church, Lake United Methodist Church. She ran the kid's programs including Vacation Bible School, and taught Sunday School. Marna's greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed crocheting and watching NASCAR races cheering on Tony Stewart. Marna also enjoyed vacations with her family, and loved her time spent at Graceland celebrating her favorite singer, Elvis. Marna was a fireball, but also had a sweet side. You knew that she loved you, but also knew when you made her mad. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Marna is preceded in death by her husband, Coke in 2010; son, Chuck Steelman; her parents; and her sisters: Linda Van Kleer, Vivian Claybourn, and Donna Sharpton.

She is survived by her sons: Steve Steelman and wife, Heather, and David Steelman; Foster son, Johnny Finney and wife, Susie; grandchildren: Donna, Ty, Jake, Bella, Victoria, Violet, Garrett, Coke, J.J., Justin, and Hannah; great-grandchild, Baby Luke on the way; and brothers-in-law: Ronnie Van Kleer, Richard Claybourn, and Vic Sharpton.

Memorial contributions may be made to Sandite Team Animal Rescue, 10427 Golden Rod Lane, Sand Springs, OK 74063, or Sand Springs Animal Welfare, 8620 W 21st St, Sand Springs, OK 74063.
