Mary Belle (Moody) Tipton, 94 of Tulsa passed away on Thursday October 12, 2023 in St. John Medical Center, Tulsa.

Graveside services on Wednesday October 18, 2023 at 2:00 pm in Woodland Memorial Park are being entrusted to Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service Sand Springs, OK.

Mary was born on May 22, 1929 in Tulsa, OK to Roy Leander and Icle Alberta (Nibarger) Moody.

She married Clarence Levi "Bud" Tipton on December 14, 1944 in Sand Springs.  They were the parents of three sons and three daughters.  Little Gary passed away as an infant.

Mary was a strong, independent stay-at-home mom for their five children, sons, Mike and Ricky; and daughters, Susan, Mary and Linda while helping Bud with his plumbing business.  She raised her family in a God fearing home.

Bud preceded Mary in death on May 21, 2018.

Mary only gave up her independence and moving in with her daughter Linda, 3 short months before she passed away.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and two sons, Mike and Gary and son-in-law, Charlie Lunn, two brothers, Robert L. and Jerry D. Moody; and sister Donna Carter.

Surviving to mourn her passing are her son, Richard Tipton (Sherry); three daughters, Susan Ressler (Scott), Mary McVay (David), Linda Lunn; and a host of Grandchildren; Great Grandchildren, Great-Great Grandchildren and one Great-Great-Great Grandson.
