Michael Dean Guynn, 80 retired US Navy veteran of Sand Springs, passed away at his home on Monday, July 15, 2024.

Graveside services will be held on Friday July 19, 2024 at Woodland Memorial Park at 10 a.m. under the direction of Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service.  Military honors will be provided by the US Navy.

Dean was born on April 26, 1944 in Tulsa to Leo Clinton and Willie Sue (Beard) Guynn.

He joined the US Navy May 1961, where he met the love of his life while stationed San Diego California Naval Station.  He married Donna Jean Waits on March 5, 1963 in Bueno Park, CA.  Dean was honorably discharged in April 1965, and they moved back to Oklahoma.  They were married for 58 years at the time of Donnas passing in 2020.

Dean and Donna attended the Olivet Baptist Church.  He loved being outdoors, hunting and fishing in his spare time.

Surviving is his son, Ronnie Dean Guynn; brother, Tim Guynn and sister, Barbara Smith.

Dean was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Donna and his sons Monte and Michael and brother, Larry Clinton Guynn.
