Mildred Fayrene Seawright, 96, passed away at her home on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, with her children at her bedside.

Mildred was born on September 23, 1929, to Thomas Homer and Lydia Ann (Gage) DeWeese in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She married Doyle H. Furr (D. 1965) in 1947. They had four children, Cheryl, Judy, Jim and Jeri. They lived in various towns in Oklahoma as Doyle was a minister with the United Methodist Conference.

In 1966 she married Ray Seawright. Ray brought his children, Ray Jr., and Nancy into the family.

During the ensuing years, she was employed with Spartan Aviation, Watkins Sand Company, the Tulsa Baptist Association, General Corrosion and Bethlehem Steel.

Survivors include daughters Cheryl Furr, Judy Brown, Jeri Hargrave and husband Tom, Nancy Campbell and husband Howard, sons Jim Furr and wife Patty, and Ray Seawright and wife Debbie, one sister Norma Watkins, 11 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, one sister Jeri Genoff, two brothers, J.T. and Johnny DeWeese, and husbands Doyle and Ray.

A Memorial service celebrating Millie's life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 10th at Olivet Baptist Church.
