Oreatha Mae (Wood) Miller, 94, of Sand Springs, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 14, 2023.

Visitation will be held at Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service on Thursday, November 16, from 1 pm to 8 pm. Her life will be celebrated in the funeral home chapel on Friday, November 17, 2023, at 2 pm.

Born on July 11, 1929, in Port, Oklahoma, Oreatha was the daughter of Claude William and Leona Stevens-Wood. She found her soulmate in Howard Kenneth Miller, Jr., marrying him on July 9, 1946, in Sand Springs, where they built a loving home and raised their two children, Steven and Carolyn. The family were devoted members of the 38th Street Church of Christ.

Oreatha's professional journey included tenure as Executive Secretary at Fibercast and Sheffield Steel, where she was known for her dedication, adaptability, and professionalism. Beyond her career, she had a zest for life, enjoying world travel and hosting countless gatherings for friends and family at her and Kenneth's retirement oasis, The South 40 Ranch.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with her son, Steven and his wife Norma; her daughter, Carolyn Bolding; grandchildren, Jonathan David Bolding, Korena Mae Bolding, Steven David Miller and his wife Dr. Andrea Miller; great-granddaughter, Addison Elise Miller; and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Oreatha was reunited in eternal rest with her beloved husband of 58 years, Kenneth; her brother, Laverne Wood; sister, Chrinor Wood-Riddle; and son-in-law, Jim Bolding. Her grace, warmth, and loving spirit will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew her.
