Owen Edgar Myrick, 85, Sand Springs, passed away on Sunday evening at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa.

Services for Owen have been entrusted with Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service of Sand Springs.

Owen was born on March 10, 1937 in Skiatook, OK to Fred Maston and Lenora Lenis (Brown) Myrick.  He graduated from Charles Page High School before joining the US Army on October 28, 1959 being honorably discharged on February 9, 1962.  Owen married the love of his life, Roma Estelle Garrison on June 5, 1964 in Miami, OK making their home in Sand Springs, where they have lived in the same house for 58 years.  Owen was employed as a purchasing agent for Trinity Industries for about 28 years, then worked for the City of Sand Springs in the water department for over 25 years.  He enjoyed going to garage sales and antique stores.  A love that he passed on to his son Chris, who started buying items at a young age, and having dad pick the things up, after he got off work.

Survivors include: his wife of 58 years, Roma; son, Chris; two daughters, Kimberly Ann Haley and Linda Kay Baker; ten grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; his brother, Gary Myrick (Darlene) and many other relatives.

Visitation will be at Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service on Thursday, June 2, 2022 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.  Funeral services will be held on Friday June 3, 2022 at 2:00 pm, in the Harvest Church, 1601 West 4 ^th Street Sand Springs.

Interment will follow in Woodland Memorial Park with military honors performed by the US Army.
