Nona Patricia "Pat" Rose entered her heavenly home on Friday, September 8, 2023, at the age of 73. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service of Sand Springs.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Thursday, September 14, at Eastland Baptist Church with Pastor Andrew Calabrese officiating. Pat will be laid to rest at Woodland Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the funeral home 12-8 p.m. Tuesday, and 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Wednesday.

Pat was born January 27, 1950, in Wichita Falls, Texas, to Willard Herschel Hart and Nona Mae (Haynes) Hart-Hodges. Pat was raised in Wichita Falls until she was 8 years old.  The family moved to Elmore City, Oklahoma until her father passed away when she was 10 years old, and the family moved back to Wichita Falls.  At the age of 13 her mom remarried, and the family moved back to Elmore City. She was a talented musician playing piano throughout her life, and cello in the school orchestra.

When Pat was 14 years old, she began dating, Garry Allen Rose, who was 17. Garry would not marry a high school girl, so the day after Pat graduated, they were united in marriage at Katie Baptist Church. Pat and Garry lived in many communities before settling in the Rock community in Sand Springs in 1976.

Pat retired from Sand Springs Public Schools where she was a secretary and taught piano lessons in her spare time. After retirement, Pat and Garry purchased a trike and enjoyed traveling together, and spending time at their home on Grand Lake.

Pat enjoyed knitting, sewing, catfishing, and spending time with her family. She took every opportunity to hold Garry's hand and loved to cuddle. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Annie Jo Wright.

Survivors include her loving husband of 55 years, Garry Rose; son, William Allen Rose and wife, Leida; grandchildren: Heather Leann West and husband, Michael, and Brent Rose; and great-grandchildren: Kylee and Chanc West.
