Patricia Ann Bordelon, beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, entered her heavenly home on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at the age of 93. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service of Sand Springs.
Pat was born on February 18, 1931, in Hessmer, Louisiana, to Richard Allen and Minnie Murphey Fontane. Her life was characterized by her unwavering love for her family, her passion for various hobbies, and her dedication to serving others.
Growing up in Hessmer, Pat's vibrant spirit shone through her involvement in numerous activities. She played drums in the Hessmer High School band and was a member of the basketball team, Future Homemakers of America, and the 4-H Club.
After continuing her education at Louisiana Tech, Pat embarked on a journey of love and companionship with her soulmate, Allen Arthur Bordelon. Their union on February 6, 1949, at the Catholic church in Hessmer marked the beginning of a lifelong partnership filled with adventure and shared joys.
Allen's career in the oil industry led the couple to various cities, including Shreveport and Bartlesville, before finally settling in Sand Springs. Throughout these transitions, Pat remained a devoted homemaker, pouring her heart into creating a warm and loving home for her family.
An avid gardener with a master gardener certification, Pat found solace and joy amidst the beauty of nature. She cherished moments spent tent camping with her family, casting lines while fishing, and exploring new destinations during retirement travels in their RV.
Pat's creative talents extended to her skilled hands, where she excelled in sewing, needlework, crochet, embroidery, and quilting. Her intricate creations were a testament to her patience, creativity, and attention to detail.
Animals held a special place in Pat's heart, particularly cocker spaniels and labradors. She bred cocker spaniels for a time, fostering generations of beloved companions.
Pat was a dedicated member of Sand Springs United Methodist Church, actively involved in Circle and United Methodist Women. Her passion for square dancing manifested in her meticulous costume creations, and she and Allen delighted in attending state and national conventions together.
