Patricia Jean Davis was a woman of strength, creativity, faith, and boundless love for her family. Born on September 25, 1935, to Buddy Matts and Ruth Marie (Bradbury) Matts, Patricia grew up in Drumright, Oklahoma, where her talents and determination were evident early on. She graduated from Drumright High School, where she played basketball and was actively involved in SOS Club, FHA, Pep Club, and the Drama Club. She also helped organize basketball and football banquets throughout her high school years, already showing the leadership, confidence, and creativity that would define her life.

During her senior year, Patricia married her high school sweetheart, Jack D. Holt, in 1953. Jack's service in the U.S. Air Force took their young family to several places, including Rantoul, Illinois; Mercedes, California; and St. Charles, Missouri, which became their primary home for many years. In 1973, they moved to Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Throughout these years, Patricia raised five children, creating a home filled with love, structure, and opportunity.

While living in Missouri, Patricia attended beauty school and operated her own beauty shop from her home. She later worked at J.C. Penney's, Baptist Book Store, and Pryor Public Library, which reflected both her strong faith and love of learning. A lifelong Baptist, Patricia was deeply involved in her church wherever she lived. She taught Sunday school, including Adult Sunday School, helped with the girls' auxiliary, cooked for church events, and faithfully served with a joyful heart.

In Sapulpa, Patricia's entrepreneurial spirit flourished when she opened P.J.'s Cakery, which later expanded to include lunch service. She was active in the Welcome Wagon, and the American Businesswomen's Association, building friendships and welcoming others with warmth and grace. Cakes were her specialty, and family holidays were lovingly centered around her home and her kitchen—places of laughter, comfort, and togetherness.

Patricia was remarkably talented and creative. She was an artist who painted and sketched, winning third place in an art contest in Pryor, and she was a proud member of the Sapulpa Art Guild. She wrote poetry and short stories and was a gifted seamstress—making clothing for her children and grandchildren and even crib bedding for her great-grandchildren. After marrying her second husband, Biffle "Biff" Davis, on May 31, 1989, in Miami, Oklahoma, she learned leather tooling and crafted purses.

Together, Patricia and Biff owned and operated Sassafrass Hill Bed and Breakfast in Pryor, where her warmth and hospitality shone. She also served as bookkeeper for Biff Davis' School of Saddle Making, bringing professionalism and dedication to everything she did.

Patricia loved gardening, cooking, hosting, and playing games with friends and family. She enjoyed family camping trips and cherished time spent outdoors together. She was a great hostess who made everyone feel welcome. She also treasured special experiences, such as serving as a chaperone for her granddaughter's high school choir and enjoying a memorable trip to Europe.

Above all, Patricia was loving, dependable, and strong. She was a fighter—someone who always rose to the occasion, persevered through challenges, and accomplished whatever she set her mind to. She guided her family with wisdom and was always there to help where she could, offering encouragement, support, and unconditional love.

Patricia was preceded in death by her husbands, Jack D. Holt, who passed away on July 24, 1984, and Biffle "Biff" Davis, who passed away on January 10, 2008; her parents; her daughter, Sharon Bernard; and her siblings, Dale Matts, Leland Matts, and Linda Creel.

She is survived by her children: Jacque Darland and husband, Danny, Michael Holt and wife, Vicky, Wesley Holt and wife, Janet, and Elizabeth "Libby" Kallenberger and partner, Todd; step-daughter, Sula Robertson and husband, Doug; her grandchildren: Christian McSoud, Eric Hallemeier, Stephanie Roberts, Christopher Matts, Aston York, Lauren Holt,  Justin Holt, Christopher Jokerst, Danielle Holt, Victor Holt, Brittany Sloan, Blake Hibbs, Radley Dawn Caffey, Randi Berryman, Adam Kallenberger, Kaygan Kallenberger, and Ryan Robertson; and many cherished great-grandchildren.

Patricia Jean Davis leaves behind a legacy of faith, creativity, resilience, and deep family devotion. Her life was one of purpose and love, and she will be remembered as a woman who gave her all—beautifully, faithfully, and wholeheartedly.
