Paul Kenneth Gillespie, 91, of Tulsa passed away at home, with his family at his side, on Friday, February 4, 2022.

Paul's arrangements are being handled by Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service, of Sand Springs.

Paul was born on October 16, 1930 to James Franklin and Nora (Elrod) Gillespie, in Okmulgee, OK..

He married Billie Jo Due June 9, 1950 and were married for over 69 years before her death in 2019.  After they married, they moved to Tulsa, where they lived and raised a family.  Paul worked as a diesel mechanic for Ryder Truck for over 40 years before retiring.  He enjoyed wood working, gardening, and reading.  Paul truly enjoyed being with his family

He was willing to help family and friends and loved problem-solving anything.

Survivors include his son Dennis and his wife Karlene; daughter, Cretia Prout and husband Doug; sister Margie Tolbert; five grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and other extended family.  He was a friend to many and will be deeply missed.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Frankie Gillespie, Ervin Gillispie; sisters, Rosie Criner, Opal Neal, Irene Gillespie, Retha Miller, and Mildred Stanley.

Private family graveside services will be held at Woodland Memorial Park, Sand Springs.
