Peggy Sue
Wallace
Aug 12, 1935 — Feb 11, 2026
Sand Springs
Peggy Sue Wallace quietly passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at her home at the age of 90. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service of Sand Springs.
Funeral service will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, February 14, at First Presbyterian Church of Sand Springs. Peggy will be laid to rest at Woodland Memorial Park. Viewing will be held at the funeral home 12-8 p.m., Friday, with family greeting friends 5-7 p.m.
Peggy Sue Wallace was born in Sand Springs, Oklahoma, on August 12, 1935, to Everett and Aileen Peeples. She graduated from Sand Springs High School and later married the love of her life, Earl Wallace, on June 29, 1956. Together, they welcomed their son, Kyle Wallace, on July 2, 1962.
In her younger years, Peggy Sue could often be found alongside Earl at football and baseball fields, proudly watching Kyle play. Those seasons of life brought many cherished friendships with the families who shared the sidelines with them. On Sundays, if she wasn't at a ball field, she was usually at her parents' home—sharing dinner, playing cards, and enjoying time with her family, including her sister's family.
Peggy Sue will be most remembered for her deep love of life. She and Earl especially loved traveling together—whether to Las Vegas, the beach, or on cruises. The destination often depended on who had the best bargain, but the memories were priceless. Friends and family frequently joined them on these adventures, creating stories that would be cherished for years to come.
Known for her quick wit and love of storytelling, Peggy Sue delighted in reminiscing about good times, continuing to do so well into her seventies. The tragic loss of their son Kyle during their forties profoundly affected both Peggy Sue and Earl, yet their shared zest for life carried them forward. Even after Earl's passing, Peggy Sue maintained a more active social life than her younger extended family and remained deeply connected to those around her.
Peggy Sue was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Earl Wallace; her son, Kyle Wallace; her parents, Everett and Aileen Peeples; and her sister, Barbara Hale.
She is survived by her niece Alicia Abele and husband Kurt Abele, and their children Theo and Chelsea; niece Kim Stivers and husband Scott Stivers, and her children Kyle and Benjamin Payne; niece Joy Hobbs and her friend Kathy Bell; nephew Robert Hobbs and wife Jean Hobbs; and her grandchild Lacy Roberts and husband Geordan Roberts, along with their children Julian, Georgianna, Francesca, and Lucianna.
Peggy Sue will be fondly remembered for her humor, her love of travel, and the joy she found in the people she loved.
