Phyllis Imogene
Belcher
Jul 19, 1928 — Oct 1, 2025
Sand Springs
Phyllis Imogene Belcher entered her heavenly home on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at the age of 97. Her long and beautiful life was a testament to faith, family, and resilience. She was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.
Born in Cleveland, Oklahoma, Phyllis was the daughter of Luther Pierce Williams and Nellie Gertrude (Guthrie) Williams. She grew up in Cleveland, where her strong spirit and independent nature began to shine early in life. She married Charles Crockett at a young age, and together they welcomed two children, Linda and Roger.
Phyllis was a woman ahead of her time—bold, determined, and full of life. She began working at Kerr Glass in Sand Springs, where she made a bold move: she bought herself a sports car and presented Charles with divorce papers. It was at Kerr Glass that she met the love of her life, Charles Lee Belcher. He was a foreman, and she was a packer. Their love blossomed, and they were married on April 4, 1969, in Miami, Oklahoma. Together, they were blessed with a daughter, Tambra.
In 1987, Phyllis retired to help raise her granddaughter, Christina, and she remained a devoted grandmother to all her grandchildren. Her home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and the delicious aroma of baked goods. There was always a pie or dessert waiting in her kitchen. She loved working in her flower beds, while Charles tended to the garden and fruit trees. Phyllis canned the fruits of their labor and created a home that was a haven for family and friends.
Phyllis and Charles bowled together on a team with Kerr Glass, sharing not only work but hobbies and joy. She was a faithful member of Summit Park Full Gospel Church in Tulsa, where her devotion to God was evident in every aspect of her life. She was known as one of the most Godly and honest people you could ever meet.
Family holidays were always spent at Phyllis's home, where love and laughter filled the rooms. She and Charles were the rock of their family—always present, always supportive, and always loving.
Phyllis is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Lee "Chuck" Belcher; her siblings Rosie, Shirley, Vernon, Tuffy, Wilma, Wanda, Junior, and Willard; and her grandson, Davey Crockett.
She is survived by her children: Linda Huey, Roger Crockett and wife Amy, and Tambra Satoe and husband Warren; grandchildren: Sean Anderson and wife Deanna Jo, Courtney Crockett, Christina Belcher and partner Ely Amerson, Warren Satoe, Jassamine Satoe and partner Jose, Alyssa Satoe and partner Kris Thurman, Zachary Satoe, and Dakota Satoe; and great-grandchildren: Kylee Crockett, Kaity Crockett, Garret Anderson and wife Evy, Jerre Whitaker, Malachi Belcher, D.J. Flick, Ethan, Amiyah, Gage, Nevaeh, Dallas, Blake, Damien, Aubrey Murray and husband Zach, and Zayden.
Phyllis's legacy of love, faith, and strength will live on in the hearts of her family and all who were blessed to know her.
