May 7, 1960 — Jan 26, 2022
Sand Springs
Bonnie "Ranae" Whitley entered Heaven's gates on Wednesday, January 26, to be with her Lord and Savior at the age of 61. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service of Sand Springs.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Saturday, January 29, at Landmark Tabernacle. Ranae will be laid to rest at Woodland Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday 5-8 p.m.
The daughter of Ervin Earl Clayton, Jr. and Bonnie Jane (Stoner) Clayton was born May 7, 1960, in Newton, KS. At the age of 4, the family moved to Joplin, MO. Ranae graduated from Ozark Christian Academy, and continued her education at Ozark Bible Institute. While attending Ozark Bible Institute she met the love of her life, Rev. Robert L. Whitley. Ranae graduated with a bachelor's degree in Biblical Literature. Rev. Robert and Ranae were married on May 15, 1981, in Neosho, MO. They made their home in Fletcher, OK, for 20 years where they pastored an Assembly of God Church; and were later called to pastor Landmark Tabernacle in Sand Springs where they made their home.
Ranae showered her love on others by blessing them with her delicious meals and desserts. As good as any professional chef, she was a very talented cook. She also loved music and was an excellent musician. She supervised the music at the church, and also played the piano. Rev. Robert and Ranae enjoyed traveling together, especially to Branson and the beaches of Hawaii. Ranae will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her father, Ervin.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 40 years, Rev. Robert Whitley of the home; children: Amy Whitley of Sand Springs, Ryan Whitley and wife, Ashley of Neosho, MO, and Alex Whitley and wife, Mary of Sand Springs; mother, Bonnie Jane Clayton of Joplin, MO; brother, Kevin Clayton of Oklahoma City; and sister, Cindy Sheridan and husband, Randy of Burleson, TX.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Landmark Tabernacle Building Fund, P.O. Box 1246, Sand Springs, OK 74063.
