Rhonda Gayle
Matthiesen
Oct 25, 1957 — Feb 12, 2026
Sand Springs
Rhonda Gayle Matthiesen, lovingly known as "Naunie", age 68, of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, went to receive her eternal reward on February 12, 2026, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Born on October 25, 1957, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Sherman and Pauline Ferrell, Rhonda lived a life marked by strength, compassion, faith, and unwavering devotion to her family. She was pure in heart and full of grace, and loved helping others. Rhonda had many talents and was equally comfortable praying with someone through their darkest hour as she was changing Mike's spark plugs. In fact, she made history as one of the first girls to take auto mechanics at Edison High School.
Rhonda was the beloved wife of Michael Ray Matthiesen. Together they built a life rooted in faith, laughter, and perseverance. She is survived by her children, Erika Renee Tarrant and husband Matthew Adam Tarrant, Krystle Nicole Krebs and husband Joshua Allen Krebs; her grandchildren, Kaden Allen Krebs and wife Abigail Krebs, Taylor Renee Tarrant, Kyle Ashton Krebs, and Luke Callum Tarrant; her great-grandchildren, Cohen James Krebs and coming soon, Baby Boy Krebs; as well as her sister, Linda Bradford, and several nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
Her family was her treasure, and her love for them was evident in every meal she prepared, every stitch she sewed, and every prayer she prayed. Rhonda always wore a smile, and her family will miss laughing with her. A faithful member of Victory Church, she volunteered for many ministries. She had a gift for listening, speaking life, and reminding others of God's goodness. Her faith was loud, because it was steady. She believed deeply in the power of prayer and lived it daily.
Rhonda was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Karen Fisher, and several beloved aunts and uncles who have now welcomes her into glory. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, resilience, and sacrificial love that will continue through generations.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at The Church Today, 14531 E 21st St, Tulsa, OK 74131, at 10:10 a.m., Monday, February 16, 2026.
Though her absence leaves a deep ache in the hearts of those who love her, we rejoice knowing she in now face to face with the One she faithfully served. A lifetime is not that long – but a love lived in Christ lasts forever.
