Richard "Dick" Ford

June 19, 1940 – February 4, 2025

Richard Allen "Dick" Ford entered heaven on February 4, 2025, at the age of 84. Son of June and Sid Ford, Dick grew up in Sand Springs and took pride in serving the Sandite community throughout his life. He graduated from Sand Springs High School, now Charles Page, and completed his degree at Oklahoma State where he was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity.

Dick enjoyed a career as manager of Clarke's Good Clothes before transitioning to a role in financial planning and insurance. A lifelong member of the Sand Springs Methodist Church, he enjoyed singing in the choir and serving others. He was a proud Rotarian and volunteered on various committees for Sand Springs Public Schools. He loved supporting the SAE fraternity and assisting with countless football tailgate celebrations. Dick proudly displayed his pride for OSU in wearing orange and driving his orange convertible Mustang.

He is preceded in death by his parents June and Sid Ford, brother-in-law Bob Heinicke, and his beloved dogs. He is survived by his daughter Stacey Butterfield and her husband Randy Sullivan; son Rick Ford, and grandchildren, Jorja and Joseph Ford; sister Pat Heinicke; and nephews Kevin Heinicke (Kathy) and David Heinicke (Linda).
