Neal
Sep 27, 1964 — Feb 4, 2025
Tulsa
Robert Harris Neal entered his heavenly home on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at the age of 60. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service of Sand Springs.
A memorial service to celebrate Robert's life will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, February 13, at True Baptist Church in Sand Springs, with Pastor John T. Collins officiating. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 12 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home, with the family greeting guests from 5 to 8 p.m.
Robert was born on September 27, 1964, at St. John's Hospital in Tulsa, to Clifford Harris Neal and Carol June (Mashburn) Gardner. He was raised in Sand Springs and graduated from Charles Page High School in 1983. Following high school, he attended welding school, preparing for a career that showcased his hardworking nature. Throughout his life, he held various jobs, including serving as an equipment operator for the City of Sand Springs and a delivery driver for a beer company. In 1997, he began working for the City of Tulsa, where he dedicated 20 years of service before retiring in 2018.
Robert had a love for fishing and could often be found enjoying the peacefulness of the water. He had a deep appreciation for history and spent hours watching documentaries. One of his greatest passions was professional wrestling, especially WWE. His favorite wrestler was Harley Race, and he enjoyed sharing his enthusiasm for the sport by watching it with his boys.
In 1992, Robert met Stephanie Lynn Martin through his cousin and her best friend. They built a loving relationship over the years and were together for 33 years. The couple married in 2002 in Fayetteville, Arkansas, and created a beautiful life together. Robert was known for being stubborn and headstrong, but also deeply lovable. His great sense of humor and unwavering love for his family defined who he was. His faith was important to him, and he considered True Baptist Church of Sand Springs his home church.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Steven Neal; granddaughter, Mariah Patton; nephew, James Neal and sisters-in-law, Kim Robertson and Angel Martin. He is survived by his beloved wife, Stephanie, of the home; his children: Marketa Martin Garcia and husband, Juan, of Sand Springs; Reuben Neal, Joshua Neal and girlfriend, Alexandria McClellan, Elijah Robertson, and Kaylee Neal, all of Tulsa; his cherished grandchildren: Emily Patton, Sabra Patton, Angel "Carly" Patton, Destiny Patton, and Danae McClellan; his great-granddaughter, Maliah Page; mother-in-law, Anita Martin and brother-in-law, Charles Robertson of Florida. He also leaves behind a close friend, Christie Witt, and her partner, Jamie Oliver, along with numerous other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
Robert's legacy of love, laughter, and dedication to family will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. His memory will be cherished forever.
