Ronald Martin Stromme passed from this life on October 9, 2025, at the age of 77. He was born on December 30, 1947, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Ben and Beatrice Stromme.

Ronald spent his early years in Sulphur, Oklahoma, and graduated from high school there in 1966. After completing his degree at Oklahoma State University, he built a successful career as a Certified Public Accountant, working with Getty Oil, which later became Texaco and then Chevron. Even after retirement, he continued consulting and offering his expertise to others.

A man of great intellect and curiosity, Ronald loved to learn. He had a sharp mind for numbers and enjoyed helping family members with their taxes and finances. He also had a fondness for puzzles and research and was always gathering information, seeking to understand more about the world around him.

Ronald was an avid cyclist and lifelong outdoor enthusiast. He loved swimming, biking, and walking, and was known for his dedication to staying active and healthy. Remarkably, he never took any kind of medication. Together with his beloved wife, Phoeyama, he enjoyed traveling extensively. Their adventures took them to Canada, Morocco, and Ecuador, as well as many memorable road trips closer to home. The two even took part in cross-country cycling journeys in Virginia and Kentucky. On a separate trip, Ronald was struck by a car on the first day, totaling his bike; yet, with characteristic determination, he purchased a new one with every intention of continuing the ride. It was only after a doctor's insistence that he finally agreed to rest.

A 50-year Master Mason, Ronald valued tradition, integrity, and honesty. He was a straight shooter who didn't mince words, but his heart was always in the right place. He was devoted to his family and quick to lend a helping hand—whether assisting with homework when the children were young or offering practical wisdom in adulthood.

Ronald was also a lifelong animal lover. He rescued and cared for many pets throughout his life, but was especially fond of cats, and could often be found with one curled up in his lap or following him around the house.

He was a member of Sand Springs Church of Christ and lived his life with quiet faith and steadfast values.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Beatrice Stromme.

He is survived by his loving wife, Phoeyama Stromme; his daughter, Courtney Stromme and husband Vince Smith of Charlotte, North Carolina; and his son, Kyle Stromme. He is also survived by his brothers, Sam Stromme and wife Judy, and Mike Stromme; sisters, Diane Butters and Phyllis Stromme; and sisters-in-law Tracy Barrett and husband Steve, and Kelly Smith.

Additional surviving family members include his nieces and nephews—Steven, Joshua, Heather, Luke, Marc, Thomas, Mary-Beth, Joel, Sarah, Jennifer, Carly, and Stephen—along with numerous other relatives and friends who will cherish his memory.

Ronald will be remembered for his intelligence, humor, honesty, and adventurous spirit—and for the love and care he gave to his family, friends, and the many animals who shared his life.
