Rosanna Stanley
Rodriguez
May 22, 1950 — Sep 5, 2024
Sand Springs
Rosanne "Rose" (Stanley) Rodriguez, 74, of Sand Springs, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 5, 2024. Born in Phoenix, AZ, to William and Jennie (Stanley) Rodriguez, Rose grew up with her two older brothers, Jerry and Luie Rodriguez, and her sister, Mary Helen Rodriguez.
Rose graduated from Yuma Union High School, proudly representing the Yuma Criminals and their unique mascot, the Yuma Territorial Prison. Following her education, she pursued a career as a Licensed Practical Nurse, working in California before eventually settling in the Tulsa area.
For over 20 years, Rose served as the charge nurse for the Tulsa County Sheriff Jail, Adult Detention Center, where she dedicated her skills and compassion to caring for others. It was during her time with the county that she met the love of her life, Earl Earnest McClaflin, Jr. Although she didn't care for Earl when they first met, their love grew over time and became the foundation of their lives together. The two were married on May 23, 1997, in Broken Arrow, and she was a member of the Holy Family Cathedral in Tulsa.
Outside of her nursing career, Rose had a passion for raising and showing her beloved dogs, even reaching the prestigious Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show. She also enjoyed spending time fishing, gardening, and crocheting.
Rose is survived by her devoted husband, Earl; her mother, Jennie Rodriguez; brother, Jerry Rodriguez; sisters: Mary Castaneda and Socorro Ruiz; her sister-in-law, Linda Boyd and husband, Jim; and her cherished dogs, Rusty and Patch.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at the Jim Groesbeck Memorial Chapel with Father O'Brien officiating. Interment will follow at Woodland Memorial Park. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service of Sand Springs.
