Rozella Jean (Lawrence) Powell went to her heavenly rewards on Tuesday May 30, 2023 from Tulsa, OK.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday June 3, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. in the Mission Christian Church.

Rozella was born in Waterloo, Iowa on October 11, 1935 to Leo Leslie and Celia (Heimerdinger) Lawrence.  After graduating from high school, she married the lover of her life, William "Bill" LeRoy Powell on September 4, 1954 in Waterloo, Iowa.  As Bill continued his education in the ministry and through many moves, where he preached and worked for the government, they finally settled in the Sand Springs.  Rozella worked at home raising their three sons and supporting Bill and the churches they belonged to.  She was extremely active with her church family at Mission Christian Church, where she attended the ladies bible study, cooked suppers, led the Fellowship for many, many years and also volunteered at the Charles Page Library for over 15 years.

Rozella is survived by two sons, Robert "Bob" and his wife Kelly, and Ross Eliot Powell; three grandchildren, Bobbi Jo Powell, Kiyah Dover, William L. Powell and three great grandchildren, Annabell, Tina and Zayden.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bill in 2003, her son, Roger Allen Powell in 2017 and a sister Ardith Mucsh.
