Sabra Lynn
Trochta
Mar 15, 1938 — Oct 24, 2021
Sand Springs
Sabra Lynn Trochta passed away October 24, 2021 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Sabra was born in Nelogoney, Oklahoma on March 15, 1938 to Joe Smith and Mary Katherine "Mitzi" Smith.
As a younger woman, Sabra worked as a stenographer for the Osage County Court Clerk and then in the law office of Shockley Shoemake in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. Later, she ran the florist and greenhouse in the same town, and then opened a fitness center and spa. In 1985, she married Robert Trochta and moved to the Lake Texoma area, where she became an avid fisherwoman, hunter, and racehorse owner. In 2007, Sabra and Robert relocated to the Keystone Lake area. She was always happiest when surrounded by family and friends and when in motion, whether that meant hosting a big gathering, traveling, or nailing that trophy buck.
Sabra is survived by her husband Robert; son Allen Branstetter; stepdaughters Paula Wheling, Donna Cummings, and Christie Trochta; brother Charles R. "Chuck" Smith; 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in passing by sisters Sandra Jackson and Louise Whited, brother Joe "Brownie" Smith, and her parents. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend.
A memorial service and celebration of Sabra's life will be held on November 6, 2021 at 1:00 PM at the Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service, 211 E. Broadway, Sand Springs, Oklahoma.
