Samuel Henry Kroutter

November 3, 1958 – October 3, 2024

Samuel (Sam) Henry Kroutter passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones. He was 65 years old. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service of Sand Springs. A funeral service is scheduled for Tuesday, October 8, at 10 am, in the Chapel at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5111 South Memorial Drive, Tulsa, OK 74145. Visitation at Mobley-Groesbeck will be Monday, October 7, from noon to 8 pm; family will be in attendance to greet guests from 6 – 8 pm.

Sam was born on November 3, 1958, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Paul J. Kroutter, Sr. and Meda O. Kroutter. He was the third of six children born to Paul and Meda Kroutter. He attended Central High School and participated in the Tulsa Central Marching Braves Band. Sam worked as a Shipping and Receiving Manager at a local aviation-related company.

Sam was his maternal grandfather's namesake and maintained a close relationship with Papa. To his numerous nieces and nephews, he was Uncle Sammy, the family jokester, loving uncle and friend, a sharp dresser, a great mechanic, an avid dog lover, and the best video game teacher around.

Sam is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, half-sister, Connie M. Drews, and sister Charlene K. Kroutter. He is survived by brother Paul J. Kroutter, Jr. and wife Jan; Eddie Kroutter and wife Carla; Sally Mondragon and husband Ernesto; Dawn Rooks and husband Brad; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
