Sarah Francis Blackwell, 84,went home to be with Jesus on June 30th, 2023.

Visitation will be held at Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service on Wednesday July 5, 2023 from 9 am to 11 am, and graveside services held in Lackey Cemetery Hichita, OK at 2 pm.

Sarah was born on September 11, 1938 in Checotah, OK to John and Ada Blackwell, who have passed on before her.  She also was preceded in death by her sisters,  Alice Goad, Anita Shepherd and Mary Dufford; and brothers, Paul, Leon, Jimmy and Johnny Blackwell.

Sarah has one surviving brother, Richard Blackwell; many nieces and nephews, great and great great nieces and nephews; as well as other family members and friends.

Sarah resided at Arbor Village in Sapulpa, OK.  While there, she enjoyed all of the activities they provided.  She was always busy and loved talking to everyone there.  Sarah loved her diet Coke, which she always had six or more in her pockets, also mini pop tarts and cheese puffs.

When she got to go out to eat with family, she wanted to go to the Crescent Café where she would order a plain hamburger, green beans and okra.  Then to Braum's for ice cream or vanilla malt.

What a day we would have if we could share our stories of Sarah.  She will be in our hearts and memories, forever.
