With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Sharon Ann (Wiggins) Battle on October 25, 2025.  Sharon was born on April 8, 1943 in Ardmore, OK, the second of four daughters of Jimmy and Estellene Wiggins.

Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service of Sand Springs.

She was preceded in death by her parents as well as two sisters, Barbara Jones and Donna Howell.  Sharon is survived by her husband, Don Battle; sister, Carol Lee; daughter Lynn and her husband Nick; daughter Leigh and her husband Doug; five grandchildren: Ryne Vineyard (Cassandra), Brady Vineyard (Stevie), Kyle Minden (Gabby), Drew Minden, and Paige Minden; and one great-grandchild, Rina.

Sharon and Don married on April 24, 1964, and celebrated 61 years of marriage.  Sharon cherished being a stay-at-home mom for her daughters until they graduated from high school.  After the girls left for college, she returned to work as an administrative assistant at Preferred Physicians, Inc., where she worked for 12 years.  Sharon and Don retired in 2003, and had many happy years travelling, camping, and volunteering. Her favorite place to camp was in Colorado at Fun Valley.  You could often find them there for the month of August, enjoying a break from the Oklahoma heat.  But they always returned by September 1 to avoid having to pull the trailer home in the snow.

Sharon's favorite role was being Nana to her grandchildren.  She cherished time with them and made sure they each felt special. From making their favorite dishes for their birthday (usually 'Nana's noodles'), to generous Christmases with overflowing stockings, each grandchild knew they were loved. Some of the grandchildrens' fondest memories are from Grandparents Week - the one week every summer they spent at the 'farm' with endless root beer, 4-wheeler rides, snow cones, projects, movie night, and lake days.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the missions program at Crosspoint Church. Donations can be made through the website at www.crosspoint.me
