Sidney "Sid" Allen McCutcheon departed this life on Thursday, March 23, 2023, at Select Specialty Hospital, Tulsa, at the age of 77. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service of Sand Springs.

Graveside service will be 11 a.m., Monday, April 3, at Woodland Memorial Park.

Sid was born June 6, 1945, in Tulsa to Sam McCutcheon and Charolotte (Brown) Brixie. He grew up around Southwest Boulevard and graduated from Central High School. He lived in Berryhill and Mannford before making his way to New Jersey where he met the love of his life, Elizabeth "Liz" Florence Brocklebank. He fell head over heels for her and they were united in marriage on January 30, 1971, in Forked River, New Jersey. He treated her as a queen everyday. In 1983, they moved to Tulsa, and eventually purchased a home in Rolling Oaks in Mannford.

Sid was a forklift operator for Liberty Glass until his retirement in 2009. He and Liz moved to Sapulpa to be closer to his job. After Liz's death in 2005, Sid fell into a depression. It was the birth of his granddaughter, Brittany, that pulled him out of his sadness. He and Brittany became the best of friends, and Sid went to live with her and his daughter, Kathy.

Sid loved being outdoors, where he spent the majority of his time. He loved bringing laughter to others by joking around, and playing with his sidekick, Brittany.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Liz; his parents; and brothers: Mike McCutcheon and Jerry Don Brixie.

Survivors include his children: Kathy McCutcheon of Sand Springs, and Allen McCutcheon and wife, Carrie of Terlton; grandchildren: Tiffany Meisters and boyfriend, Jacob Mays, Brittany Meisters, and Curtis Allen McCutcheon; and brother, Tommy Brixie.
