Tanya Ann Peters Johns Luce

This beautiful soul born in this life on October 31, 1942 passed peacefully to the next life in her home on June 16, 2025. A Tulsa native and life-long lover of north-eastern Oklahoma, Tanya attended Tulsa Public Schools and graduated from Edison High School's class of 1960.

Tanya's primary career spanned 45 years of service to Physicians and their patients through the Tulsa County Medical Society. She retired as an executive Assistant Director.

In January of 1977 Tanya married the love of her life Thomas Marvin Luce. They collected friends who became family for decades. She has been known as Sis, Aunt Tanya, Gran'ma, Grammy, and Grandma T. Many people have been folded into her list of "bonus" family members. She seems to have an unlimited supply of love for building family. So, if you were a genetic relation, a relation by marriage, or a relation of deep friendship, you were part of her blended family.

In 2018 Tanya moved to Texas to be close to her son and family. She continued her ministry with birthday, anniversary, and welcome cards. And even when her health began to fail, nurses and caregivers would always spend extra time with her. She offered everyone the kindest understanding and most attentive listening heart.

Tanya is survived by:
Her brother Ron Peters and his wife Bonnie and their children Greg and wife Amy and their children, and Rhonda and her husband Chris and their children.
Her son Ron Johns, Jr. and his wife Brenda and their children Ren, Ash, & Brooke.
A bonus son Jimmy Dandridge and his wife Kandra and their children Kaleb & Karsten.
A bonus son Marc Luce and wife Brandi and their children Tori, Faith, & Seth.
A bonus daughter Melissa Hill and husband Eric and their child Katie.
A bonus daughter Lisa Merrill and her husband Gary and their children Madison, Hailey, and Kylie.
A bonus brother Kenneth Grimes and his children Terri and her children and Susan and her child.
And too many great nephews and nieces and great grand kids to come to name.

Tanya is preceded in death by:
Her father and mother Stanley and Margie Peters.
Her beloved Thomas M. Luce.
A bonus grandson Addison Earl Luce.
And a most precious bonus sister Marlene Grimes.

She will be missed by countless friends and coworkers and her most recent church family at the Oak Ridge Church of Christ.
