Tenena Nicole (Swafford - Morgan) Hubble
September 21, 1981 - October 11, 2025
Tenena Nicole Hubble passed suddenly and unexpectedly from this life to her heavenly home on October 11, 2025, in Sand Springs, Oklahoma.
Tenena was born on September 21, 1981, in Ada, Oklahoma to Joanna and Glenn Swafford. She grew up in her family home settled in the Oakhurst area of West Tulsa. She went to Daniel Webster High School, where she played the clarinet in band, and graduated in the class of 2000. She was blessed with two sons, Aaron Lee Hunter in 2004 and Chance Michael Morgan in 2006. She met her now sweetheart and soon to be husband, Melvin Hubble, for the first time in 2011 and finally began their love story officially in 2020. They spent their lives together happily in Sand Springs and seeking out new adventures every day until her passing.
In the early years, you could find Tenena and her siblings riding bicycles and roaming through all the streets of Oakhurst. Later, that became riding in cars with friends and fulfilling all her rebellious ambitions.
She grew up traveling to powwows and performing all over the United States to help teach and educate about her Native American heritage. Throughout her life, if she wasn't with family at a powwow somewhere, her summers were spent camping at the lake with family. She was known in the family for her skill in slalom water skiing from the age of 7.
Tenena had a servant's heart and was a little worker bee her entire life! Like her momma & daddy, she would help wherever she was needed! Just as she was raised, she would show up and ask, "what needs to be done?" Or she wouldn't ask at all and would just get right to work.
Many know her from working so many nights at IICOT Bingo Hall starting from when she was just a kid working concession to later serving people on the floor! For the latter part of her life and most recently, she served her customers as a store manager for AutoZone. Her knowledge in the automotive industry started when she was little and worked on cars with her daddy and later from their shared experiences at the racetrack. Her love for automotives allowed her to excel in her career at AutoZone and many of her employees, co-workers, and customers loved and admired her.
Tenena had a knack for making everyone feel loved, welcomed, and accepted…even when she was teasing, bullying and picking on you! She was so fun loving, but her love was always so genuine, honest, real, and very intentional. No matter who you were, she made you feel seen. And no matter where she was, you could always find Tenena loving on everyone's babies and little ones and that extended to their fur babies. If she met a stranger, to her they were not a stranger for long. And if you were her friend, you quickly became family. She welcomed almost anyone with open arms. She had a selfless kind of love that she never hesitated to be caretaker for any of her family or friends in their time of need. And if you needed her, for any reason at all, she was there for you…no questions asked…well, maybe just a few…and possibly some colorful comments or words…but she was there!
Tenena was a very sentimental person that collected many things from turtles and sunflowers to friends, family, and fur babies. I mean, she didn't just have one of any one of those things…she ALWAYS had a collection! And she always found it difficult to part with any of those things! She loved and she loved hard! Tenena's family was the most important thing to her! But above all, she loved her Melvin, her momma & daddy, and her boys!
Tenena was preceded in death by her parents, Joanna and Glenn Swafford, her grandparents, and her best friend/sister, Dena. She is survived by her husband Melvin, her sons Aaron, Chance, Mikey & Leo, her brothers Jason, Kevin, Sky, Matt, Adam, Josh, Jay, JD, & Jeff. Her sisters Katie, Tandy, Pepper, Rachel, Britt, & Tonya, her nephews Colin, Everett, Layne, Brendon, Andrew, Eli, Bryson, Canaan, & Terry, and her nieces Alissa & Natalie. She is also survived by her Aunt Trish, Aunt Ronda, Uncle JL, Uncle Dewayne, Uncle Mike, Aunt Carolyn, Uncle Dickey, and a whole host more of aunts, uncles, cousins, more close friends, and extended family.
Visitation will be held at the family home Monday, October 13th, through Wednesday morning, October 15th. All are welcome and encouraged to come by and offer support and condolences to the family.
