Tisha Lynne (May) Cottman, 54, of Sand Springs passed away at Hillcrest Medical Center on Friday July 26, 2024 with her family at her bedside.

Tisha was born on October 1, 1969 in Dallas, Texas to Douglas Howard and Tamara Lynne (Baber) May.  Her family moved to Rockwall, Texas as her father was a captain for the Dallas Fire Department.

After graduating from high School, Tisha continued her education at East Texas State University obtaining a Bachelor of Arts Degree 1992.

Tisha married the love of her life, Brendon James "BJ" Cottman on November 21, 1997 in Tulsa.  She was teaching in the Bixby School system until her children were born, then made the decision to stay at home and home-school them.  Over the years, she not only taught her kids, but also contributed her knowledge to home-school co-ops teaching other youngsters in the Tulsa area.

Tisha, B.J. and their kids Noah, Seth, Emma, and Nate attend and serve at Guts Church of Tulsa.

Surviving are her husband of over 26 years, BJ., three sons, Noah James, Seth Christian, Nathan Christopher; her daughter, Emma Kate; brother Russell Christian May and his wife Shanon; nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Tisha was preceded in death by her father Douglas and mother, Tamara.
