Uelene Lucille Wasmund Reheard was born on July 1, 1931 to Uell Vincent and Lena (Wynn) Wasmund. She passed away at the age of 93 on October 4, 2024.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Robert Howard (Bud) Reheard; brother, Charles Wasmund of Skiatook and both of her parents.
Suvivors include daughter, Charolette, her husband Larry Stephens and daughter, Scarolette Rapien. 5 grandchildren; Chris Stephens, Terry Stephens, Christina McCraw Crane, William Robert Rapien, and Stephanie Rapien; 12 great-grandchildren; Brianna Stephens, Shawn Hines, Tyler Stephens, Angelina Rapien, Rylie Stephens, Jasmine Baker, Dannell Rapien, Vernon Sisney, Dixie Moore, Sawyer Stephens, Wesin Rapien, and Delila Rapien.
Uelene was raised in Vinita, Oklahoma and lived there until she married her handsome Marine on February 27, 1949.
Life was like a Norman Rockwell picture growing up in the 30's and 40's. Church every Sunday at the First Methodist Church where she started singing with the choir at age of 3 and then to Grandma and Grandpa Wasmund's for Sunday dinner.
She loved her family very much but, her love for singing followed her all through her life. From singing in church to winning the Eddie Cantor Amateur Talent contest when she was 6 years-old.
In 1952 she joined Tulsa Number 1 Chapter of Sweet Adiline for which she was President in 1959. She sang tenor in the chorus as well as the many quartets who won numerous competitions.
Before her eyes started to go bad, she loved to quilt, crochet and embroidery.
The family would like to thank the St. Frances Hospice for helping her through her final journey.
