Verna Louise Bozeman, 93, Sand Springs, Oklahoma, passed from this life Saturday, April 9, 2022. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service of Sand Springs, Oklahoma. A Memorial service for Verna will be Friday, April 15, 2022, at 10:00am, in the Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service Chapel.

Verna was born on February 16, 1929, in White Oak, Oklahoma, to Robert Don Morgan and Addie V. (Baty) Morgan. Following her graduation from High School, Verna was married to her best friend, Calvin Bozeman. They enjoyed over 50 years of marriage prior to Calvin's death in 1999. She was a hairdresser by trade for over 40 years. Verna was a member of The Well of Spirit and Truth Church in west Tulsa. She was an active member of the Elks Mates, Moose Lodge, and VFW Auxiliary. Verna enjoyed traveling all over the United States with Calvin and going Square Dancing. She was ready to play Bingo anytime. Verna's favorite color was purple. She liked everything purple. The walls of her bedroom, the carpet, her dresses, all purple or some shade of it. Verna was very flamboyant. She made sure that everything matched. Clothes, jewelry, etc... There was one time in her life that she was able to help catch a robber by pinning him with her Cadillac until the police arrived. Verna was very brave and fearless. Above all of her likes and activities, she loved her family and being with them was priceless. Her great attitude and wonderful smile will be greatly missed by both family and friends.

Preceding Verna in death was her parents Robert and Addie Morgan, husband Calvin Bozeman, sons Calvin Bozeman Jr., Robert Lee Bozeman, brothers Billy Morgan, Freddie Morgan and Harvey "Jack" Morgan, sisters Bobbie Marie Couch and Mildred Erwin.

She is survived by grandchildren Leslie Root and husband Dave and Marye Kathyran Bozeman; great-grandchildren Christopher Murphy, Brittney Murphy, Kell Root, Tyler Bozeman, Shayd Bozeman, and Jazzman Bozeman; other relatives and many friends.
