She will be laid to rest at Woodland Memorial Park. Family and friends are invited for visitation on Wednesday from 3–8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Born on October 28, 1944, in Bergman, Arkansas, Vinita was the daughter of Fay Jacob and Ollie May (Devore) Whiteside.

Vinita was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dwayne Hathcock, her sons: Jawayne Hathcock and J.D. Hathcock, her parents, Fay and Ollie; brothers: Eullis, Frank, Gene, Charles, Bobby, and Leon Whiteside; as well as sisters: Katherine Osburn, Pauline Osburn, Beulah Norvel, and Marie Davis.

She is survived by her daughter Tammy Todd and husband, Cedric Todd of Jenks; her son, Jace Hathcock of Sand Springs; and sister Ivon Brown. Vinita's legacy continues through her grandchildren: Christian Todd and wife, Christina Todd of Glenpool, Heather Winegardner and husband, Sean Winegardner of Shawnee, Hannah Hathcock of Vian, and Josh Hathcock of Glencoe. Her great-grandchildren—Iris, Nova, and Noel Todd, and Wayne Winegardner—were the light of her later years.

As we gather to honor her, may we find strength in the love she shared and peace in knowing her life was a blessing.
