Virginia was born November 19, 1941, in Alton, Illinois, to Cecil L. Frye and Rose E. (Schroeder) Frye. She attended Alton High School and continued her education at Lincoln Christian College where she earned a bachelor's degree. While attending college she met the love of her life, Gordon Robert VanZile. They were united in marriage on December 28, 1968, in her hometown of Alton. Gordon served in ministries in Illinois, Kansas and Oklahoma. She was caring to everyone she met. She cherished time spent with family and friends, and her beloved dog, Missy. Virginia also enjoyed time spent outdoors gardening, camping and boating. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her,
Virginia is preceded in death by her husband, Gordon; and her parents.
