Vonda Luree McDaniel age 61 passed away at her residence October 22, 2024.  Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service of Sand Springs.

Vonda came into this world not to be missed! Weighing in at 10 pounds 13 ounces.

She was raised in Sand Springs, OK and attended Charles Page High School.  However, she actually graduated in Japan (where her husband was stationed).

Vonda was extremely creative and just downright crafty.  She could grow the most amazing gardens, and she could turn those green tomatoes into fried bites of delight.

Vonda was very knowledgeable about antiques and even owned an antique store in Sand Springs for 2 years.  She collected any and everything ranging from Pyrex and cast iron to little shoes.

Vonda was taken too early from this world on October 22, 2024, leaving behind her beloved son, Kyle Bishop and his wife, Jessica Bishop of Claremore, OK.  She also left behind 4 precious grandchildren- Shaela Bishop, Trenton Bishop, Anthony Recatto and Addilyn Bishop.

In addition, she is survived by a sister, Peggy Troe of Haskell, OK, a brother, Lee Smith of Haskell, OK and another brother, Lon Smith of Jenks, OK.

She will be reunited with those that left before her including her parents, Lester and Lois Smith, and a sister, Vicki Smith.

Memorial service to be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 28, 2024, at the Jim Groesbeck Memorial Chapel, Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service.
