Wanda Gaye Goodman, age 84, passed peacefully from this life on April 22, 2026.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 27, at First Baptist Church in Prue. Viewing will take place from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 26, at Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service.

Wanda Gaye was born on January 31, 1942, in Pawhuska, Oklahoma, to Carl and Opal Toothman. She graduated from Prue High School in 1960 and remained deeply connected to her community throughout her life.

A devoted member of First Baptist Church in Prue, Wanda Gaye faithfully served for many years as a Sunday School teacher, sharing her faith and wisdom with generations. She was known for her honesty, her gentle way of speaking truth, and her steady, compassionate presence. Her selfless spirit was especially evident in the loving care she provided to her mother during her long struggle with dementia.

Above all, Wanda Gaye treasured time spent with her family. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love created a lasting legacy that will continue to live on in those who knew her.

She is survived by her son, Mark Goodman; her daughter, Debbie  Barnes and husband Joe; her granddaughter, Jamie Warren and husband Kory; her great-granddaughter, Hadley Kate; and her brother, Billy Toothman.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bobby "Budgie" Goodman; her parents, Carl and Opal Toothman; and her brothers, Richard and Charles Toothman.

Wanda Gaye will be remembered for her beautiful smile, her strong faith, and the deep love she held for her family and friends. Her life was a testament to quiet strength, devotion, and grace.
