W.L. "Dub" Blevins passed from this earth to enter his eternal home on Monday, March 28, 2022, at the age of 89. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service of Sand Springs.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Thursday, March 31, at Sand Springs Free Holiness Church with Rev. Cliff Hewitt officiating. Dub will be laid to rest at Woodland Memorial Park with military honors presented by the U.S. Army. Visitation will be held at the funeral home 5-8 p.m., Tuesday, and 8 a.m.-8 p.m., Wednesday. Family will greet friends 6-7 p.m., Wednesday.

W.L. (Dub) Blevins was born January 19, 1933, in Wagoner, OK, to Thomas J. and Rachel (Alcorn) Blevins. He proudly served his country as a Corporal in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Dub worked at the cotton mill in his early years. He then worked for and retired from the City of Tulsa. He also worked at the airport for American Parking for a few years after retiring.

He married Freida Gilbert on August 20, 1954, and to this union was born one son, Gary, who survives. He is also survived by daughter-in-law Mona and granddaughter, Shanna, who shared the loving task of being his caretaker for the last 6 years. Great-grandsons, Josh, Jayden, and Jamison Moses also survive and assisted in his care. Dub also has many nieces, nephews, and other extended family members who survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Rachel Blevins, his wife, Freida, sister, Cleo Blankenship, and brothers, Raymond, Alfred, Clarence, Henry, and Leo. The family would like to thank the compassionate caregivers from Evergreen Hospice, Porta Caeli House, and Haley at Home Instead for their assistance during the last months of his life.
